Drawing, Japanese paper, porcelain, collage and thread
Prozir brings together works on paper and porcelain through an exploration of transparency, fragility and the act of looking. The title is a word I created, bringing together several meanings in Serbian — prozor (window), prizor (view or scene) and prozirno (transparent) — and reflects a long-standing interest in the window as both a physical threshold and a way of seeing.
Large and small drawings on handmade watercolor and Japanese papers combine ink, watercolor, acrylic, collage and stitching. Alongside them, delicate porcelain objects echo the whiteness, irregularity and fragility of paper. Dandelions, poppies, dragonflies and lacewing insects appear as recurring forms — fleeting traces associated with childhood, transience and the vulnerability of the natural world.
Rather than functioning as separate objects, the works form a connected visual narrative. Paper, porcelain, drawing and thread move between surface and object, transparency and material presence. Prozir continues my exploration of the exhibition as a structure that can be read spatially — like a book whose individual elements become chapters within a larger whole.
