MA (間)

MA (間) brings together drawings, artist’s books and porcelain works to explore the Japanese concept of Ma — the interval or space between. Developed following an artistic residency in Japan, the project continues a long-standing investigation into space, gesture and perception.

Rather than treating emptiness as absence, the exhibition approaches the in-between as an active space where relationships, attention and meaning emerge. Through drawing, porcelain and the book as spatial form, the works invite the viewer to experience pauses, transitions and subtle shifts in perception.
