Luminous and Uncanny Cities

Luminous and Uncanny Cities explores the city as a layered space shaped by memory, lived experience and imagination. Drawing on experiences of Tuzla, Belgrade, Rome, Istanbul, Ankara and Zurich, the works do not depict specific places but reconstruct them through fragments, traces, layers and material.

Painting, drawing, porcelain, the artist’s book and moving image become interconnected languages through which memories are continuously rewritten. Rather than representing the city, the project asks what remains after passing through it — and how the places we have lived in continue to exist within us.
